HC Deb 24 October 1988 vol 139 c68W
Mr. Wareing

To ask the Secretary of State for Health if he will make a statement on the visit of the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Health, the hon. Member for Derbyshire South, (Mrs. Currie) to Liverpool on Wednesday 19 October.

Mrs. Currie

On Wednesday 19 October I visited Sunnybank, one of 11 continuing care homes run by Marie Curie Cancer Care. I was impressed by the high standards of care the patients and their families receive. I expressed my appreciation to the director-general of Marie Curie Cancer Care, who was present, for the services it provides nationally for people with cancer.

I also visited Deysbrook barracks to meet apprentices and later went to West Derby Conservative club. If the hon. Member requires further details perhaps he would contact me direct.
