§ Mr. Peter BottomleyTransport Ministers of 22 countries belonging to the European civil aviation conference, including our partners in the EC, agreed a wide-ranging package of measures to tackle air traffic congestion at their special meeting held on 20 October.
The United Kingdom's proposal for a central flow management unit, to be operated by Eurocontrol in co-operation with ICAO, was endorsed.
Air traffic congestion is not on the agenda for substantive discussion at the EC Council of Ministers meeting on 26 October.
