To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what information he has as to whether the proposal to construct a sewage pumping station at Quarry Green, Donaghadees, has been approved by Ards borough council; whether he has received any objections to this proposal; and if he will make it his policy to establish a public inquiry into this proposal.

The planning application for the proposed pumping station attracted 18 objections The Department is not yet in a position to consult Ards borough council with its preliminary opinion but it will do so. A public inquiry cannot be held under planning legislation.
