To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what plans have been considered, or approved by the London Docklands development corporation for further development on Heron quay in the Isle of Dogs enterprise zone, stating the approximate areas in respect of each proposed use.

Mr. Trippier

The LDDC is currently considering a mixed development proposal by Tarmac Brookglade of approximately 2 million sq ft, the use of which would be broadly as follows:

  • Residential—49 to 62 per cent.
  • Commercial—14 to 27 per cent.
  • Retail—4 to 6 per cent.
  • Business suites—2 to 4 per cent.
  • Hotel—16 per cent.
