HC Deb 19 October 1988 vol 138 cc965-6W
Mr. Spearing

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will list those decisions of the European Economic Community Council of Ministers which have been taken by qualified majority vote in accordance with the provisions of the Single European Act since it came into force, indicating those in which the representatives of the United Kingdom (a) abstained and (b) voted in the minority when a qualified majority was obtained.

Mrs. Chalker

The information on Council decisions is not available in the form requested. About 100 decisions have been taken by majority vote since the Single European Act came into force.
