HL Deb 10 October 1988 vol 500 c710WA
Lord Granville of Eye

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will consider acquiring the antipodean film "The Light Horseman" for the United Kingdom archives, to mark in this country the celebration of the bicentenary of Australia.

The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (Baroness Trumpington)

The funds earmarked for Britain's participation in the Australian bicentennial celebrations have been fully allocated. The bicentennial year is drawing to a close and there are no further plans for expenditure of public funds on it.
