To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what are the current levels of his Department's staff at the British high commission in Bombay; and what were the levels in 1987.

The current number of staff at the British deputy high commission in Bombay is 22 United Kingdom-based and 80 locally engaged. Numbers at the beginning of 1987 were, respectively, 21 and 74.
