To ask the Secretary of State for Wales how many community psychiatric nurses there have been in Wales in each of the last two years.

At 31 October 1988 district health authority records showed there to be 178 (whole-time equivalent) community psychiatric nurses (mental illness) in post in Wales. No reliable figure is available centrally for 1987.
