To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what amount of money was paid to charities following the discovery of an error in the retail prices index; how it was allocated amongst the charities; in how many instalments it is to be paid; how much revenue will accrue to the Treasury from the interest on money not paid immediately; and if he will make it his policy to add this interest to the amounts allocated to the charities.
