§ Mr. NeedhamMy right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland is kept informed of progress on industrial development in all parts of Northern Ireland both through regular briefings and by a programme of visits which include discussions with a wide range of 615W individuals. Since April 1987 IDB has promoted almost 600 new jobs in South Down involving total investment of over £20 million. In the same period LEDU promoted 816 new jobs in the Down, Banbridge and Newry and Mourne district council areas.
