Whether HMSO will be required to use biodegradable materials to package outgoing mail.

Much of HMSO's outgoing mail is already wrapped in biodegradable materials, which are used whenever it is cost-effective to do so. There are some instances where the need for high-speed packaging requires the use of conventional packaging such as clear plastic film. HMSO is however conscious of the environmental considerations and keeps the situation under constant review.
