§ Mr. MossTo ask the Secretary of State for Transport if there has been a delay in the proposed start of the A47 Eye bypass in Cambridgeshire; when is the anticipated start date; and when is the expected completion date.
§ Mr. Peter BottomleyWe should complete the formal statutory procedures to make the line, side road and compulsory purchase orders for the bypass by the end of November 1988. We have then to arrange some advance statutory undertakers works. We hope to start the main works on the bypass next summer. They will take about 18 months to complete.
