To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what is the average waiting time for a driving test in Portsmouth.

The current waiting time for a test at Portsmouth driving test centre is 15 weeks. This is too long. We cannot accommodate any more examiners at the centre (there are currently seven there). We are looking for other premises to meet demand. Earlier tests are available at Gosport.
