§ 20. Mr. David Shaw
To ask the Secretary of State for Energy if he will list the productivity figures for British Coal for each of the last three years; and if he will express the figures as a percentage increase-decrease on the previous year's figures.

Productivity increased by 21 per cent. in 1986–87 and by 10 per cent. in 1987–88. The productivity figures are as follows:
