§ Mr. RyderSince the beginning of 1986, the Ministry's routine programme of analysis of samples collected from agricultural areas around the major nuclear sites in England and Wales has been expanded. The results are to be published annually. The "Terrestrial Radioactivity Monitoring Programme: Report for 1986", which includes the results obtained from samples collected during the first year of the expanded programme, was published on 8 August and a copy placed in the Library of the House.
The 1987 annual report of the Ministry's routine programme for monitoring radioactivity in the aquatic environment, "Radioactivity in Surface and Coastal Waters of the British Isles", was published on 21 October and is also available in the Library.
