HC Deb 04 November 1988 vol 139 c786W
Mr. Evennett

To ask the Attorney-General what is the average time taken for the issue of a land certificate by the Croydon district land registry; and if he will make a statement.

The Attorney-General

The average time taken to issue a land or charge certificate by the Croydon district land registry is 22 weeks compared with the departmental average of 16 weeks.

In all district land registries new systems of work are being introduced to increase productivity. At Croydon further steps to improve the service include the transfer of work to other offices and the recruitment of additional staff.
