To ask the Secretary of State for Employment how many employment training scheme places originally allocated to London have yet to be allocated to training agents.

All training agent provision in London has been allocated.

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment if he will list(a) London-based training agents for the employment training scheme and (b) how many places are involved for each.

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment how many voluntary organisations based in London, involved with MSC-Training Commission schemes prior to the introduction of ET, have indicated that they will not participate in ET; and how many places are involved.

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment how many employment training scheme places have been allocated to voluntary organisations based in Greater London.

A total of 6,800 employment training places have been allocated to voluntary organisations acting as training managers in London.

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment if he will give the latest figures available stating how many of the employment training programme's filled places are extended placements from the community programme, new public authority placements, new placements in the voluntary sector and new placements in the private sector both nationally and in north Staffordshire.

The total number of people in training on employment training at 21 October 1988 was just over 62,000 for Great Britain and 1,201 for the county of Staffordshire. It is not possible to provide separate figures for north Staffordshire.

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment if he will list the number of filled places on the employment training programme (i) nationally and (ii) in north Staffordshire.

At 21 October 1988 there were 62,000 people in training on employment training in Great Britain. Figures are not available for north Staffordshire, but in Staffordshire as a whole there were 1,201 filled places at the same date.
