28. Mr. Skinner

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment how many meeting have been held since 13 June by(a) the Sports Council, (b) the policy groups of the Sports Council and (c) the governing body aid panel.

Mr. Moynihan

Since 13 June the Sports Council has met once, on 31 October. The council has held two policy group meetings, the participation policy group on 21 June and the national centres board on 20 June. There is no governing body aid panel, but the council's grant assessment panel has met on eight occasions since 13 June.

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment when he next plans to meet the chairman of the Sports Council.

Mr. Moynihan

I regularly meet the chairman of the Sports Council. The next occasion will be on 10 November.

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will publish a list of the members of the Sports Council who resigned in 1988, giving the date of their resignations.

There have been 14 resignations from the Sports Council in 1988. These are as follows:
