§ Mr. Needham[holding answer 31 October 1988]: The Department of the Environment has made the following decisions in response to the Snaith report.
- (1) To introduce a series of improved engineering procedures for the assessment and treatment of the structural condition of roads.
- (2) To investigate the implications of adopting a positive abandonment policy in respect of lowly trafficked rural routes.
§ Mr. MallonTo ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland when he intends to publish the Snaith report.
