§ Mr. PageTo ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he has any plans to encourage the small investor to take advantage of any of Government-created savings schemes including personal equity plans.
§ Mr. Norman LamontThe Government intend to introduce a new national savings product in January 1989. The Government also continue to attach importance to personal equity plans as an encouragement to small investors to own shares.
