§ Mr. ParkinsonThe good practice set out in the codes published by the Commission for Racial Equality and the 349W Equal Opportunities Commission underpin the employment policies that operate within my Department. For example, recruitment advertisements are now placed with selected newspapers from the ethnic minority press as well as local newspapers; opportunities are available for female staff to attend women only development courses; and flexible working arrangements encourage those with domestic responsibilities to continue in paid employment.
