§ Mr. Michael Forsyth[holding answer 24 May 1988]: Complete information on actual exenditure incurred by each board in 1987–88 will not be available until their accounts are submitted later this summer. For 1988–89, we have announced that an additional £92 million is to be made available in Scotland to finance the full additional cost of the review body awards. The precise attribution of this amount among the various categories of staff is currently being assessed. Health boards will be informed of their additional allocations shortly.
