HC Deb 26 May 1988 vol 134 c281W
Mr. Harry Greenway

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what progress has been made on studies on the provision of a direct rail link from Heathrow to Central London, and those examining the feasibility of releasing the Perry Oaks sludge works to the airport.

Mr. David Mitchell

We expect to receive very shortly a report from our consultants, Howard Humphreys and Partners, analysing the responses to the Heathrow surface access study. This will include an assessment of the most promising proposals which have been made for new or improved public transport links between central London and the airport. Discussions continue between BAA and the Thames water authority about the possible release of the Perry Oaks site.
