§ Mr. WaldegraveIn the normal course of business we monitor the operation of the Land Compensation Act 1973. We recognise that the present arrangements under the Housing Act 1985 providing compensation for the compulsory acquisition of unfit houses, currently payable at site value, can give rise to anomalies and we intend to introduce legislation as soon as possible to provide for full market value compensation to all house owners.
