Mr. Redwood

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment (1) what is his Department's latest forecast, based on the Serplan forecasts, for net inward migration to the south-east region, excluding London, in the last decade of the 20th century;

(2) what has been the level of net inward migration to the south-east region, excluding London, in the periods 1957 to 1967, 1967 to 1977 and 1977 to 1987.
