[holding answer 17 May 1988]: The roadworks at High street, Comber, are due to be completed by the end of October 1988.

A letter giving details of the scheme and proposed traffic diversion was issued to all affected residents prior to the roadworks commencing.

The proposed Comber bypass extension is included in the Department of the Environment's 6 to 15 years major works programme. The priority of the scheme within the overall programme is currently being reviewed.
