§ Mrs. RoeProvision for housebuilding in rural and other areas is made in structure and local plans, taking into account the likely overall need for housing and the suitability of the proposed ways of meeting those needs. My right hon. Friend has invited Serplan (the South East Regional Planning Conference) to consider the new projections of population and household formation over the next decade and to discuss with him its implications for housing and land supply in the south-east.
