HC Deb 17 May 1988 vol 133 c387W
25. Mr. Bowis

To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he will take steps to ensure that pupils of special schools are not prevented from attending school by industrial action affecting special school transport in London.

Mr. Dunn

The strike action by a small number of the Inner London education authority's managerial staff, which affected the school meals and transport services of schools, including special schools, between 21 April and 26 April, has been called off. Negotiations with the National Association of Local Government Officers have resumed on the Inner London education authority's plan to improve the efficiency of its fleet transport service.
