To ask the Attorney-General what is the policy of the Crown Prosecution Service towards prosecuting in cases of alleged insulting behaviour.

The Attorney-General

When considering all cases, including allegations of insulting behaviour, the Crown Prosecution Service applies the principles set out in the code for Crown prosecutors. If the hon. Gentleman is concerned as to the application of these principles in a particular case I shall endeavour to assist him if he will write to me.
