To ask the Attorney-General what assessment he has made of the implications for his policy towards promoting a balanced social intake into the legal profession of the current level of grant support from local education authorities to postgraduate law students taking professional courses; and if he will make a statement.

The Attorney-General

Promoting a balanced social intake into the legal profession primarily is a matter for the profession itself. The current level of grant support to postgraduate students is under discussion between the profession and the Department of Education and Science.
