HC Deb 16 May 1988 vol 133 c360W
46. Mr. John Hughes

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what increase in United Kingdom civil air traffic he expects during the next two years.

Mr. Peter Bottomley

The information is not available in the precise form requested. The last Department of Transport forecasts, published in 1986, estimated United Kingdom demand for air travel in 1990 in the range 83.2 to 98.9 million passengers per annum. The Department is currently working on new forecasts which are expected to be published before the end of the year.
