HC Deb 13 May 1988 vol 133 c276W
Mr. Cryer

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport where the train diversions hitherto using the Settle to Carlisle railway will be accommodated on the British Rail network if a decision is made to close the Settle-Carlisle route.

Mr. David Mitchell

This is a management matter for British Rail. Its proposals for diversionary routes are set out in the board's financial case for the closure of this line, a copy of which was deposited in the Library of the House.
