§ Mr. Douglas HoggThere are no plans to introduce a right of appeal for those persons dismissed from the special constabulary. The need for a discipline code for special constables has been consered from time to time. The conclusion has always been that it is neither sensible nor practicable to apply such a code to voluntary, part-time and unpaid officers.
