To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services how many individuals in the Crewe and Nantwich constituency have lost housing benefit since the change in the Social Security Act on 1 April; and what is the total amount of housing benefit lost.

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services how many recipients have had their housing benefit(a) withdrawn or(b) reduced in the Wakefield metropolitan district.

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services (1) whether payments of transitional protection to claimants of housing benefit will be made as regular weekly payments or some other basis; and what period he expects a transitional protection certificate to cover;

(2) what further subsidy he is offering to local authorities to compensate them for the administration needed to implement the certification process associated with the scheme of transitional protection for housing benefit; when he expects the scheme to be in operation; and what guidance he has issued in the meantime to local authorities on collection of the new higher rent and rate payments due.

(2) if he will state the number of those who have lost housing benefit arising from the recent legislative changes in each region of the United Kingdom.
