To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what proportion of European Community structural funds is due to be spent in Britain for the current year.

The detailed arrangements for structural fund spending for the current year are still under discussion. We cannot therefore say what proportion is likely to be spent in the United Kingdom.
