§ Mr. LeeThe caravan and holiday park industry makes a major contribution to tourism in this country. It is estimated to produce an annual turnover in excess of £800 million and to provide over 200,000 jobs. I welcome the industry's efforts to improve its training and to provide higher standards by introducing codes of practice, and a 429W grading scheme, produced by the British Holiday and Home Parks Association and the National Caravan Council in conjunction with the English Tourist Board. I was also pleased to learn of the industry's plans to invest £3 million in a national campaign to raise the profile of caravan holidays.
