§ Mr. Robin CookTo ask the Secretary of State for Social Services which indicators will be included in the health index; who has been consulted about which indicators to include; if he will publish the existing list for wider consultation; if he intends to make additional resources available to(a) administer the index and (b) collect any additional data which may be required to compile the index.
§ Mr. NewtonWe have asked officials to consider the feasibility of creating a portfolio of health indicators (health index). Consideration of such points as those raised by the hon. Member will of course depend on the results of the feasibility study.
