HC Deb 14 March 1988 vol 129 c454W
Mr. Allen

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment, pursuant to his answer of 7 March about housing in Nottingham, what was the error to which he refers.

Mr. Waldegrave

There was an error in the appointment by my Department of the estimate of private sector dwellings in disrepair between authorities in the East Midlands region. As I have previously explained, this had no bearing on the Housing Corporation's allocations for 1988–89. Corrected figures have been passed to the Housing Corporation and incorporated in its final housing needs index which will be one of the factors to be taken into account in drawing up future plans for investment in housing association schemes.
