§ Mr. LewisTo ask the Secretary of State for Social Services whether any special arrangements will be made to compensate families on income support from 1 April for the loss of family allowance when a son, or daughter, in full-time education reaches the age of 19 years.
§ Mr. ScottTransitional protection ensures that families entitled to supplementary benefit during week commencing 4 April and to income support from 11 April, will receive at least as much benefit income under the income support scheme at the point of change. We have no plans to make other arrangements.
