§ Mr. PawseyTo ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science if he has any plans to assist students on initial teacher training courses in craft, design and technology with meeting the costs of purchasing equipment needed for their courses.
§ Mr. Kenneth BakerAs from September 1988 eligible bursary students on initial teacher training courses in craft, design and technology will receive an additional equipment allowance of £200 to help towards the cost of materials and tools needed for their course. This sum will be paid as a one-off grant to each student. I believe this will further improve the attraction of training in CDT.
