What proportion of youth custody trainees discharged from Everthorpe last year had received one or more visits from a probation officer or social worker during their stay in custody; and
What proportion of detention centre trainees discharged from Whatton last year had received one or more visits from a probation officer or social worker during their stay in custody; and
What proportion of youth custody trainees discharged from Bullwood Hall last year had received one or more visits from a probation officer or social worker during their stay in custody.
The Minister of State, Home Office (Earl Ferrers)Neither HM Detention Centre Whatton nor HM Youth Custody centre Everthorpe keep the information in the form requested and it could not be made available except at disproportionate cost. HM Prison/Youth Custody Centre Bullwood Hall are able to supply figures for the first six months of 1987, which show that of the 32 youth custody trainees discharged during this period, 18 had received at least one visit from a probation officer or social worker during their sentence.
