§ Mr. MoynihanI replied to a question on the safety of competitors at the Olympic Games from the hon. Member on 25 January at column51, and I refer the hon. Member to the answer given today to my hon. Friend the Member for Shipley (Sir M. Fox). I have not received any letters on the subject.
§ 83. Sir Marcus FoxTo ask the Secretary of State for the Environment whether he is satisfied with the security arrangements being made for the British Olympic team in South Korea.
§ Mr. MoynihanSecurity for the Olympic Games is primarily the responsibility of the South Korean Authorities. They are taking extensive precautions and both I and my right hon. and learned Friend the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs are confident they are giving this matter very careful consideration. We will continue to monitor the situation between now and the start of the games.
