§ Mr. TrippierEstimated private sector investment committed by the end of March 1988 to the London Docklands development corporation's area was £4 billion. The grant-in-aid paid to LDDC over the same period was £396 million. This represents a leverage (defined as the ratio of grant-in-aid received to private sector investment committed) of 1:10.
