§ Mr. Peter BottomleyWe are continuing to develop and improve the trunk road and motorway network. The need for further motorway development is closely monitored and new schemes are added to the programme as the need 445W is identified. Motorways in Scotland and Wales are the responsibility of my right hon. Friends the Secretaries of State for Scotland and Wales.
