§ Mr. PawseyTo ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science when he expects to issue guidance on admissions to county and voluntary schools in the light of the more open enrolment provisions of the Education Reform Bill.
§ Mr. Kenneth BakerDraft guidance is being issued today. Its purpose is to inform discussion of this topic during the remaining stages of the Bill's passage through Parliament; to guide local education authorities and others in any preparatory work they wish to undertake and to give all concerned an early opportunity to comment. Comments are invited by 16 September 1988.
