To ask the Secretary of State for Energy if he will list the agreements he has with each country in the European Community and the Nordic countries for the notification of nuclear accidents in(a) their countries and (b) the United Kingdom.

The United Kingdom is a signatory to the IAEA convention on early notification and is a party to the European Community arrangements for the exchange of information in the event of a nuclear accident.

Bilateral agreements with Norway and Denmark were concluded last year and there is a similar agreement with France dating from 1983.
