§ Mrs. Margaret EwingTo ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will make a statement of the nature and purposes of the air activities to be carried out in north-west Sutherland and Wester Ross during the maritime exercise on 17 and 18 June.
§ Mr. FreemanThe exercise will involve a small-scale amphibious landing using helicopters. Shore-based aircraft will simulate opposition to the landing, for which air defence will be provided by a mix of shore-based and carrier-borne aircraft.
