§ Mr. John PattenMost licensing authorities have adopted street collection regulations which follow closely the model contained in the schedule to the Charitable Collections (Transitional Provisions) Order 1974. All street collection regulations require my right hon. Friend's confirmation before coming into force. Following a recommendation of the Woodfield report on the supervision of charities, we are reviewing the law relating to public collections, including these arrangements.
