Ms. MowlamTo ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what information he has as to the number of Palestinian men, women and children killed since the outbreak of the current troubles on the West Bank and Gaza strip; and if he will make representations to the Israeli Goverment thereon.
§ Mr. MellorWe understand that over 200 Palestinians have been killed in the unrest of the last six months. We repeatedly make clear to the Israeli authorities our concern that they should administer the occupied territories in accordance with international law and observing human rights standards.
§ 70. Ms. ShortTo ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs whether he has any plans to meet the Secretary of State of the United States of America to discuss the response of the Israeli Government to the Palestinian uprising in the occupied territories.
