To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland how many convictions there have been in Glasgow for soliciting in the last 12 months and the previous 12 months.

In 1987, 444 persons were convicted in Glasgow of offences relating to prostitution. The figure for 1986 was 504.

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland (1) how many owners of saunas in Glasgow have been arrested for offences in connection with prostitution in the last 12 months and the previous 12 months;

(2) how many managers of saunas in Glasgow have been arrested for offences in connection with prostitution in the last 12 months and the previous 12 months.
